This very popular course is aimed at students who are interested in coming to Liverpool to find employment. This is a unique course that offers students the opportunity to develop their overall communication skills to gain access to the workplace.

Many students come to us because they want to work in the UK or need to be interviewed in English when they return to their home country.

These certificates will be a great asset in assisting you in finding employment in the UK.

Employers now prefer that new employees already have these certificates.

If you do have them it is a great advantage in finding a job.

These certificates are very important to employers because it demonstrates their employees are well trained and safe in the workplace.

These certificates will demonstrate to an employer that you are committed to working in that profession, you have a  knowledge of the industry and that your are competent in the English language used in your chosen industry.

LEVEL 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY CERTIFICATE

This course is very useful when applying for any job.
All workers, whether they are permanent staff or contractors, need to be aware of issues that affect their health and safety at work.

  • All workers have a right to work in places where risks to their health and safety are properly controlled. The primary responsibility for this is down to the employer.
  • Workers have a right to join and be represented by a trade union.
  • Both workers and employers have a legal responsibility to look after health and safety at work together.
  • Workers who contribute to health and safety at work are safer and healthier than those who do not.

LEVEL 2  FOOD HYGIENE

This is very useful if you wish to work in hotels, bars, restaurants or food production environments.

This qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, food handlers. A food handler is any person, in any type of food business, who handles food, whether open or packaged (food includes drinks and ice). The aim of this qualification is to provide a basic knowledge of food hygiene.

Holders of this qualification will have knowledge and understanding of the importance of food hygiene, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems. This is important in understanding and maintaining good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food.

LEVEL 2   PERSONAL LICENSE HOLDERS CERTIFICATE
If you are interested in working in a bar or any premises serving alcohol this certificate is very useful when applying for a job.

This course covers: the licensing act 2003; licensable activities; types of license; licensing objectives; licensing authorities; how to apply for a personal license; how to apply for a premises license; duties of a personal license holder; temporary event notices; rights of entry and inspection; protection of children; nature of alcohol and how it affects the body; conduct of licensed premises.

FIRST AID
Larger employers need a trained first-aid representative on the premises.

SIA SECURITY INDUSTRY TRAINING
This course is essential for any security job.

CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY TRAINING

(CONSTRUCTION SKILLS CERTIFICATE SCHEME- CSCS)
CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and reduce accidents.
CSCS cards are increasingly demanded as proof of occupational competence by contractors, public and private clients and others. They cover hundreds of occupations so whatever you do in construction there will be a card that is suitable for you.
