GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE - INCLUDING BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND EMPLOYMENT
Our General English Courses are taught at several different levels and give the student real knowledge and practice in reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and grammar.
We have developed our own General English Course in response to what our previous students have found the most useful for their careers and daily life when living in a foreign country.
This course is aimed at students who are interested in coming to Liverpool to find employment were English is necessary. This is a unique course that offers students the opportunity to develop their overall business communication skills to allow you to work for a UK company.
Included in the General English courses are the following units. Hence, you can join the course at any stage. As each week is a module of work that is assessed.
• Letter/fax writing.
• Meetings.
• Interview techniques.
• Presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Telephone skills.
• Negotiation skills.
• Managerial skills.
• Resume build.
ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES
We know that all our students are individuals. Although you may want to improve your general communicative English skills we know that there will be other specific elements of English that you really want to know because they are specific to your profession or career.
We therefore offer specialist English training in the following
Business English training.
Medical English.
Legal English.
English for Information Technology.
Technical English for Engineers.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) provides an assessment in whether students are ready to continue their studies in English. It is generally accepted that you will have to take this examination if you want to enter College or University in England.

Full-time students must attend a minimum of 15 hours per week. This is classified as a full-time course. However, depending what course you are enrolled on you then have the option to attend your chosen English for Specific Purposes course.
